Mohd Royzilee Mustaffa
Founder and Chairman

Mohd Royzilee Mustaffa, fondly known as “Mr Roy,” was born and raised in the heart of Labis, Johore, where he quickly became a household name within the community. Growing up in a well-known Mustaffa family in Yong Peng, and with a father who served as a veteran in the Malaysian army during the Cold War, Mr Roy learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and a deep passion for music. His innate curiosity about sociology and finance led him to pursue a degree in sociology at Gadjah Mada University in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia, in 2008.

Before his academic pursuits, Mr Roy had already gained a wealth of experience working in several reputable banks, including Citibank and Hong Leong Bank, where he excelled in the mortgage loan division. However, in 2005, Mr Roy faced one of the biggest challenges of his life when he was diagnosed with brain cancer and slipped into a seven-day coma. After intensive chemotherapy, Mr Roy defied the odds and emerged victorious, determined to give back to society. He joined the Kuala Lumpur Hospital’s Brain and Nerve Cancer Society, where he organized charity events related to cancer awareness. In 2013, he founded the Yayasan Kanser Malaysia, together with a renowned Malaysian neurosurgeon, Dr. Azmi Alias. Through various cancer awareness projects, Mr Roy and Dr. Azmi raised millions of ringgit to build a National Cancer Centre for the public.

Fuelled by his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for humanitarian causes, Mr Roy left Yayasan Kanser Malaysia to establish two new companies, the Kuala Lumpur International Cancer Centre and Kuala Lumpur International Commercial Centre (KLICC), to generate funds for the National Cancer Centre. With his vast experience in finance and international business, Mr Roy engaged clients globally, including in Switzerland, Oman, United Arab Emirates, China, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia.

In 2022, Mr Roy founded Jagad Buana (formerly Sejagat Buana) which serves as a funding body for business and projects on various industries. With Mr Roy at the helm, Jagad Buana is poised to make a significant impact in the industry, driven by a desire to support ambitious projects and make a difference in the world.

Muhammad Adam Duerreh
Director for Asian and European Affairs

Muhammad Adam Duerreh is the Director for the Asian and European Region at Jagad Buana UK Limited and Jagad Buana Berhad, where he leads strategic initiatives and oversees cross-border engagements spanning both regions. With a strong background in intergovernmental funding and development programs, he has been instrumental in fostering cooperation among national agencies and facilitating high-impact projects.

He has successfully managed multiple government-supported initiatives across Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia, contributing to regional infrastructure growth and enhancing Southeast Asian collaboration. His expertise also extends to gold trading and logistics, where he provides strategic insight into the movement and management of high-value commodities and international trade operations.

Prior to his current role, Muhammad Adam served as a representative for a Member of Parliament in Southern Thailand. He currently acts as a liaison for the Royal Family of Thailand, where he has gained extensive experience in navigating regional political and economic affairs.

Dr. Raif Rafideen Norisam
Director of Secretariat

Dr. Raif Rafideen Norisam is a multidisciplinary professional with a strong foundation in science, technology, and innovation. Born in Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Raif holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Leicester, and a Ph.D. in Particle Physics from University College London (UCL), where he was awarded the prestigious Yang di-Pertuan Agong Scholarship under the royal patronage of Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan.

His doctoral research at UCL was conducted in collaboration with the ATLAS Experiment at CERN — the European Organization for Nuclear Research — where he focused on the search for Beyond Standard Model (BSM) physics, including investigations into extra spatial dimensions. His scientific contributions have been published in top-tier journals such as Physical Review D, under the American Physical Society.

Dr. Raif’s industry experience includes working with WorldRemit, a leading global digital payments company that provides international money transfer services across more than 130 countries, with a focus on accessibility, speed, and affordability for migrant communities.

In addition to his scientific and financial background, Dr. Raif completed advanced coursework in financial engineering through Columbia University, and co-founded both Semeru Coffee Enterprise and Wisdom Key Research, the latter focusing on interdisciplinary academic research and innovation.

His areas of expertise span particle physics, nuclear medicine, financial engineering, artificial intelligence, blockchain development, and high-level documentation for corporate and scientific communication.
